American Junior Simmental Association
The Sales Talk competition uses a live setting complete with animal (excluding steers) or a photo (no larger than 8x10) and potential buyers. The purpose of this contest is to evaluate the effectiveness of the presentation and the contestant’s ability to merchandise cattle.
Time: 5-7 Minutes

- Registration Papers
- Contestants may use any entry or photo (no larger than 8x10) of a SimGenetics animal as the subject of the Sales Talk
Contestants will be Judged on:
- Knowledge of the animal they are selling (25 percent)
- Ability to relate important information about the heifer/cow (organization and style – 25 percent
- Poise and Delivery (25 percent),
- Overall effectiveness in convincing the judge tobuy the animal (25 percent)
- A contestant’s score will be reduced 10% if additional materials are presented to the judges other than those listed in the above rules.
