The puprose of the Judging contest is to improve the cattle selection skills of the Juniors. The cattle in the contest are typically Simmental or SimGenetics and are brought in by local Simmental breeders. 

Time: 12 minutes/class, There will be a two-minute time warning in each class to signal contestants to hand their cards in to the group leader.

Judging Cards

Materials to Bring:
Paper and Writing Utensil to take notes

Contestants will judge and could give at least one set of reasons on:
Yearling bulls
Cow-calf pairs
Steers
Keepcull class of yearling heifers
Yearling heifers
Note: The judging committee reserves the right to substitute classes if necessary due to the availability of animals.
