The American Junior Simmental Assoctiation's national classic are set-up with competition geared at help kids become highly skilled young breeders, motivated to produce seedstock that calve easily, grow fast and efficiently, and offer exceptional carcass value. In order to achieve this goal competitions have been set up that test the kids in every form of the industry.

Contestants at the regional and national classics will compete in the following contests:

Overall high individual will be determined by
the highest scores in 5 out of 7 competitions.
